WIWA PublicationsSoundings ReviewSoundings Review, where readers and writers connect, will publish its first issue September 2008. This magazine of creative writing publishes high quality, accessible poetry, fiction and prose, including essays and interviews, that on the first read creates a connection with the reader. Because Soundings Review is written for adults, children's literature is published only when it also has appeal for adults. The editor is Marian Blue.
WIWA NewsletterThe online Newsletter, first published in May 2001, is a bi-monthly publication that provides information about WIWA's programs. The Newsletter supports the Association's members and program participants including conference attendees and presenters, MFA candidates, faculty and other participants in WIWA's programs. It can be read online at www.writeonwhidbey.com/Publications/. If you would like to unsubscribe, please reply to the announcing e-mail with UNSUBSCRIBE in the subject, and we will delete you from our records. WIWA will not share or sell your name or e-mail address. Publication Dates Our organization is made up mostly of volunteers, and sometimes our heart says yes but our schedule says no way. Our hope is to bring the newsletter to you on a regular basis. We want it to be the clarion for all your writing successes as well as a source of information about the Association and its activities. Approximate publication dates are: February 1, April 1, June 1, August 1, October 1, and December 1. To Contact Us or Submit an Article We are interested in hearing from you. Perhaps you've been to a recent book fair, heard a favorite author speak, or learned valuable tips from a writing class. Perhaps you're a professional willing to share your expertise. We want your writing related articles. We want to hear your good news for the Cheers or Recent Releases columns, too. Have you discovered interesting markets, contests and cyber sites that we should know about? Or do you have a favorite quote to share? Accepted articles are published online at WIWA's Web site www.writeonwhidbey.com/Publications. Back issues may be archived on the Web site. The author retains full rights to articles submitted.
